Despite the strange title and somewhat crude cover art, this book has helped me the most after suffering the relatively sudden loss of my wife of 46 years. The author knew exactly what I was experiencing and helped me learn to cope and deal with my feelings of profound grief. Although this book is written primarily with men in mind, I believe there are parts that will help women too. I strongly recommend it for men who have lost their loved ones. Since reading, I have loaned the book out and even bought another copy for someone else.

This is a book that should be read before a loss so that you can better understand what is happening when a death in a family occurs. A valuable set of insights for a sorrowful event that can help one get through the event and understand why a person is grieving the way that he is. It also explains some of the unexpected feelings that you may be having and provides some suggestions for grieving.

First off Janet has died and I miss her so much. I'm Vinnie her husband of over 49 1/2 years and needed to know why I felt the way I did, so different than woman were feeling and talking about. The book helped me understand my masculine feelings were normal and not cold or unfeeling. It explained some of the different things I did and made me feel OK, with myself. Lots of information for a man in grieving and lots of information to help deal with the loss of the "love of your life". I suggest you read it twice and highlight the parts that apply to you.Vinnie

Good book for someone that is sick of our gynocentric society and considering going Zeta or MGTOW.

I bought this for a friend of ours who lost their 9 year old son suddenly to bacterial meningitis. They said that it was helpful for their marriage to see how the other person grieved and to not judge them as being more or less upset by their grieving behavior. Everyone grieves in different ways, and this book gave them a roadmap of their grief. I'm not saying this book will heal terrible wounds like the loss of a child, but it can be a resource in the midst of horrific loss.

This book helped me so much when my daughter was killed. All the other books just seemed to miss the mark somehow. This guy gets it. I must have bought a dozen copies so far for friends who have lost loved ones. Essential reading!
