She has an ability to build things and buys the family farm to re-furbish it, as a place where her grandmother came to get away.She meets the neighbor and begins a relationship that ends with her falling in love with him.As she is working on the farm house, she finds some old letters of her grandmothers that lead to vandalism, break-ins destruction of property and an attempted murder.The story leads the reader through a series of events that end with the suspect being identified and there is an excellent twist.Another great writing by this author and a demonstration of attention to detail she is known for.

I say that because I am sure 5 or even 7 stars are normal for you as I have been a fan for years, not to make you feel old. The book cost more than many on Amazon but oh so worth it. I did not see the ending coming and for someone who reads about $100 worth of cheaper prices books a month and a book a day that says a lot. I am also a retired psychologist and I did not see the guilty coming. I have been a fan a long time and will continue to read your wonderful work.

I thought I had read this book when it came out, but I was mistaken. This is one of those books you simply cannot put down. The main characters are stand-outs. There are so many interesting people involved in the mystery of the story, it takes time to figure out who is who. But that is what makes it more interesting. I enjoy Robert's story-telling.

Former child star, Cl!!a, moved into her late grandmother's Little Farm, to rehab it and bring life back into it. Her grandmother, a former star had lived there, through great parties, and had killed herself at the farm. Villa is determined to make it a home and love there herself. But someone hates her family and targets Villa and her house. Ford, a graphic novelist, lives across the street and hits it off with Cilla. Together they dig into the mystery, held together, and fall in love. Nora Roberts does it again! I don't know how I missed this one, but I am going back and reading any of her books I could have missed or fogotten. Great mystery, great love, great read!

I usually give Nora Roberts a five star rating. However there were two issues I had with this book. The first and most annoying was that it took too long to get to the mystery. I almost stopped reading it because it took so long to capture my interest. Secondly, I thought the ending came out of nowhere. Those characters weren't developed enough to consider them seriously. In my humble opinion, not one of her best. However, I did give her four stars because no one but Roberts could think of this interesting plotline.

Tribute is about an ex-star named Cilla who buys her grandmothers house and fixes it. Along the way she meets Ford and in the process she is finally able to find out what really happened to her grandmother and her true inner strength. Cilla is a really likable woman, she is strong with a great sense of humor, yet she has an inner vulnerability that only gets seen by those close to her. Ford is interesting, he is an artist and comic geek, yet he is not feminine nor is he shy. He has strong opinions and a wonderful sense of humor. He balances out Cilla's larger than life personality and when things get tough he is right there with her. While Cilla is fixing up the house she has someone sabotaging her project, someone trashes her bathrooms and calls to change her orders. There is a mystery behind Cilla's grandmothers' death, her and Ford try to find out who her grandmother was having an affair with before she died. This book is one of my favorite Nora Roberts, it starts out as a lazy day read and I kept telling myself oh I'll put it down after this chapter. This book really sucked me in and before I knew I had finished it.

Having just found this good author and not having read any of her extension collection I was elated to find her. . then I got this book. . it drags, it wanders, it is boring. Now that didn't stop me. . Nora Roberts is a great story teller and I just got 5 of her books today. . ..this one. . I don't know why it just doesn't have Nora Roberts characters that you love to love or hate.
