I read this whole book within a couple of hours, made my lists and decided what I wanted to make. These are very easy recipes. Most of the spices you might already have in your kitchen. I like the explanation of how to soak beans, and not lentils, the desserts look excellent at the end - I can't wait to try the frozen brownie with icing, and the fruit pudding. When I look at all these excitingly tasty recipes, I don't even think what I might be missing in changing my "SAD" diet (standard American diet). Thank you Angela. Well done! I recommend this book for all possibly new and existing vegans.

While this recipe book offer a lot of information, and encourages changes to the recipes, I would had liked to see a list of alternatives if you can't eat legumes, as soy in particular is something people are allergic to. It would most likely make the vegan diet more approachable for those with allergies who are new to it.There were also some confusing parts where it basically states don't eat whole grain, but do eat whole grain, and don't eat pseudo-grains but do eat pseudo-grains. Or that honey isn't part of the vegan diet, but recipes include honey. (Honey isn't part of some vegans diet, that's true, but it should clarify that some vegans do eat honey, so honey being part of the recipes isn't weird.)Some recipes also would need som editing, because of missing or incorrect information given.Otherwise, although I haven't had the time to try any of the recipes yet, I would say they looked and there was a variety of them.

First the author tells readers toss honey in your home pantries. Then she gives you a recipe for hazelnut butter to use as a grease using you guess Honey! Honey is not a vegan food. Several recipes call for honey. So what are you. The Author, a vegetarian or a vegan. Big difference betwixt the two. Suggest you attend nutritional classes with certified nutritionist who is registered dietitian who has attended college. For the most part the recipes were vegan. New vegans must know the proper amounts of dietary nutrients a male and female requires each day. Book is vague in this area. The book was free otherwise not worth your money.

Well put together book. Lots of convincing arguments and information about veganism. I'm not a vegan personally but I am open to it and this book was super helpful with a wide variety of recipes that look easy to do - I will be trying some of them! Highly recommended to anyone interested in eating a clean vegan diet.

Love that most of the ingredients are on hand. A few like teff flour, I have not tried. Mot 100 ingredients, most have 8-10. Good variations in veggies. I really like that they recipes are pretty easy and don't take hours to make. Wholesome and good. Looking forward to making lots of these recipes.

If you've alteady decided to go Vegan and are looking for healthy, satisfying meals, look elsewhere. This book talks more about saving animals and the plant then helping you find your way on the vegan journey. Just my take as a beginner!

I’m 2 weeks into this new Vegan diet and it’s been super exciting! This book has decent information about Veganism overall, but its main thing is the recipes! I have tried like 2/3 of them, some tastier than others, but I have to say they are fairly simple to make and easy to integrate in a meal plan. I highly recommend the orange berry pudding! My favorite so far.

I can hardly wait to make many of these recipes. Most of the ingredients are available at the grocery I use. The only problem I have is not owning a large food processer.
